Saihoji Temple in Kyoto—often referred to as The Moss Temple—is arguably one of the city's most spectacular gems. And for a city overflowing with amazing locations and sites to see, that is saying a lot.

When I'm in Kyoto, I always make an effort to return here as the grounds are otherworldly in their beauty. The feeling of peace and stillness seems to flow from every tuft of moss, every tree, every fish, from everything all at once. It is easy to become captivated and to lose oneself within these grounds.

Just recently I had the extraordinary fortune to have the entire grounds all to myself - and during Sakura season (Cherry Blossoms) no less - and so I do hope you enjoy this private tour Saihoji Temple and, hopefully, the peace and tranquility of this space will be conveyed to you wherever you may be.
