The Middle East has some of the highest-paying overseas basketball salaries in the world with major basketball leagues such as Iran (IBL), Saudi Arabia (SBL), Lebanon (LBL) and UAE (D1) all thriving here.

That makes for a comfortable lifestyle if professional basketball players are able to get into the market.

However, beyond that, another key consideration is the playing style.

The Middle East rarely requires its players to practice 2-3 times per day as they do in Europe.

In the end, there is no right or wrong answer. But rather a prioritization: do you want to go where the best basketball is or get paid the most as possible?
