I just finished facilitating another session of Coming Home and we did practices to bring us home to our bodies. I am sharing this video with participants and thought you may also find it helpful. It's called Jin Shin Jyutsu and it settles the racing thoughts/emotions.

Bessel Van der Kolk writes, "“When you have a persistent sense of heartbreak and gutwrench, the physical sensations become intolerable and we will do anything to make those feelings disappear. And that is really the origin of what happens in human pathology." Given our Enneagram style, we tend to have "go-to" patterns that can help...until they don't....particularly in these times. Many of us are experiencing fear, heartbreak and gutwrench. (Given your Enneagram style, you may not feel much of anything right now). All of this is normal as we don't have any life experience with developing resilience during a global pandemic.

A dear friend walked me through this practice when my system was in an activated state when out of town as the quarantines began. I was in full scale head type mode anticipating and planning future management of me and my loved ones. This was only "amping" up my nervous system. I could feel myself settling as I did the practice and wanted to share it with you. Take good care.
