Watch how I use my clippers to save scissoring time on this Australian Shepherd groom. He was in the shop for a good tidy up. It's what I would consider a mock silhouette cut. This method can apply to other silhouette dog haircuts, such as Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, and other Shepherd breeds.

He already had a bath, blowout, and nail trim when I filmed this.

My mini clippers are set to a #40 on the pads.
They're set to a #15 when I'm working on the privates.
