Stretching 47 miles from Kodachrome Basin State Park near Cannonville, UT, to Highway 89 west of Big Water, Cottonwood Canyon Road is a spectacular drive. While the dirt road is usually suitable for two-wheel drive cars, foul weather can make it a challenge even for four-wheel drive rigs. Regardless, it is the stunning natural beauty of the area that attracts adventurers. As a result of heavy snowfall in the Abajo and Henry Mountains, we would revise our Utah Badlands trip plans to end on BLM land above Grand Canyon National Park. Cottonwood Canyon Road served as a nice connector from Capitol Reef National Park. The video was shot with one GoPro each in two of the vehicles, two HDSLRs and a drone.
