You may be able to apply for a UK Ancestry Visa if you can meet all the requirements. You must be a Commonwealth citizen (inc Zimbabwean nationality) aged 17 or over.You must have at least one grandparent who was born in the UK or Islands. (“Commonwealth citizen” includes some types of British nationals such as British Overseas National Hong Kong.) This visa will be granted for 5 years. You can access the NHS, you can work for an employer or be self employed.

This visa can only be applied from outside the UK. You can not apply from inside the UK if you are already in the UK on any other type of visa including Visitor visa.

Processing time: It is three weeks.

Visa fee: £531

Immigration Health Surcharge: £624 per year X 5 years visa = £3120
