We backpacked into Little Lakes Valley in the John Muir Wilderness for 3 days and 2 nights. We stayed the 2 nights at Chickenfoot lake and fished all the other lakes in the valley.

We fished for rainbow trout, brook trout, brown trout, and golden trout.

There is still a lot of snow up in the Eastern Sierra from the 2017 snow season.

To get permits to backpack in the valley, you must reserve them many months in advance online at the reserve usa website.

Right below little lakes valley is Rock Creek Lake.
