Cloud migrations and digital transformations are all the rage. DevOps teams all around the world are celebrating how awesomely they have wrangled the biggest technical challenge their companies have ever had. Cloud First and Cloud Native companies are all the rage. At the same time hidden in the back room are the accountants, trying to understand how is it possible for a vendor invoice to have that many digits. Asking themselves, who approved all this spend? and what the hell is a CloudFront anyway?

Often when companies get bill shock the pace of innovation is directly in the cross hairs. Engineers are expected to explain the bill and It is not uncommon for detailed cloud billing data to be in the hundreds of millions or even billions of lines per month.

Mike Fuller (Principal Systems Engineer at Atlassian and co-author of the book “Cloud FinOps” published by O’Reilly Media) will walk us through:
