New and interesting footage is flooding social media where people claim to be buying fake and rubbery fruit to eat in the US. I don't know if it's true or an attempt at sensationalism, but the videos are already piling up, and there are no explanations.

Dozens of Americans in #usa have posted videos showing how food items purchased from supermarkets behave strangely - they bend and don't break under pressure, resembling rubber. Some of them have a shell that peels off like nylon. This is most commonly seen with watermelons, but there are also videos of avocados that don't fall apart, bananas that bend unnaturally, and blueberries that look like they're made of silicone. There is no official information on these cases, the media also do not comment, and the videos on social networks continue to increase. A video of a mother has gone viral showing the texture of a watermelon that looks like rubber or soft plastic. In another video, the watermelon makes a strange sound when cut, and the bananas barely break, as if they were made of dough. The cause of these phenomena remains unclear, with speculation varying – some believe the fruit has been treated with dangerous chemicals, others suggest it is lab-grown and synthetic, and still others think it is a new GMO. One video shows meat from a supermarket attracting a magnet.
