We woke up early to travel to Donsol where the boys are going to get Scuba Certified so we can scuba dive as a family, and hopefully see whale sharks and manta rays! Our flight from Manila left bright and early so we had to wake up at 2:00 in the morning. At the airport, we had all kinds of adventures. Heather was taken to an interrogation room and was asked about the aerosol spray (hairspray and sunscreen) that was in the bag. The bag passed inspection and she was able to come back to the family.

Then, we were called again to the desk and they asked why we didn't go get on the bus yet. We thought we were in the right place but found out we had to take a bus ride for a bit to get to the plane that was outside. We were the last ones on the plane and we were grateful we made it. On the plane, we found out that all of our seats were apart from each other, which would be a problem, especially for our two little kids. They helped us figure out all of that rigamarole and we were off.

When we arrived in Legaspi, we were picked up and taken to Donsol. After a quick tour of our hotel rooms, the boys were off ready to start their scuba certification from Bicol Dive Shop. Their instructor, Rodel, was fantastic. He was lots of fun and really taught the boys well. They were able to do some of the training submerged in the water for about half an hour. They did a fantastic job, so it took only about half of the time.

When we all got home we took some much-needed naps and then enjoyed some delicious dinner at the hotel. It was a long, eventful day!
