Review Summary:
The Supermix 4 steps outside SIMGOT's usual comfort zone of upper-midrange brightness and single DDs, to deliver a smoother, richer sound thanks to an eclectic driver mix of 1*DD, 1*BA, 1*PZT and 1* Microplanar. The result is a beautifully coherent quadbrid with a buttery sound, pinpoint imaging, holographic vocals and an expansive soundstage. Some might find the usual upper-midrange presence a tad overbearing at high volumes, and the emphasis on subbass over midrange won't please everyone, but provided you get your source and eartips right, the Supermix 4 is a delightful audio experience that focuses on musicality.
