The lasers are easy to operate and adjust beautifully. The micro-adjustment knob is a super nice feature and one that’s been long overdue with small lasers. A mode button allows you to choose between plumb and level lines, or both.
I found the laser line to be bright and crisp. The longest distance I tested the lasers, so far, was 45 feet. The M12 laser distance has a working range up to 125’ and the USB is 100’. Both lasers have a rated accuracy of +/- 1/8” @ 33ft.

Milwaukee Green Laser Accessories
Milwaukee is offering three laser accessories for all their lasers. While sold separately, at least they had the foresight to create storage space for them in the plastic molded cases. I was disappointed that do not offer a tri-pod or other mounting pole accessory. I currently use a Bosch telescoping pole system and a small camera tripod.
The three accessories are:
1. Responsive Laser Alignment Target (48-35-1111) – $14.99
2. 360° Laser Bracket (48-35-1311) – $59.99
3. Track Clip (48-35-1313) – $24.99
The responsive laser target is complete with responsive centering alignment and high visibility illumination which easily directs users to the center of their target for the fastest, most visible alignment.
The 360º Laser Bracket features multi-plane rotational adjustment for adaptable placement overhead or on other vertical or horizontal surfaces. This allows you to set-up your laser on narrow material that is running horizontally and still maintains contact with all 4 magnets. Think ductwork, metal decking, or piping. It also can attach overhead and keep the laser upright so that it will still self-level. It also gives you a 3-inch u and down adjustment for dialing in the laser line.
The Track Clip is designed for a quick connection and secure hold on the wall angle and features rubber teeth and a low-profile head.
Why No Packet Case?
Currently the Milwaukee Green Lasers ship in red molded plastic cases. I’m disappointed that Milwaukee is not releasing these lasers in a PACKOUT. I’m sure they will in the future, but it seemed like a no-brainer to me to do it now.
Overall Thoughts on the Milwaukee Green Laser
The Milwaukee rechargeable green lasers are a great new addition to their tool line.
While the USB laser option is certainly a rechargeable solution you have to use a setup like a phone charger to do it. I prefer less charging cords and as a result, my favorite laser style was the M12 battery laser. This is because I don’t want to deal with flimsy, cheap charging cords, and charging blocks. I’d rather charge the battery charger that’s also charging my tools on the job.
We found the green laser lines to be super bright and crisp. They offer crisp, precise lines with high visibility for the professional user.
Robust, fast horizontal and vertical alignment of lines, easy to operate and precise self-leveling allow these lasers to be used both indoors and outdoors.
The bottom line, these Milwaukee Green Laser should give you years of reliable service.
