楚颂(二胡与大提琴)
作者借霸王别姬的这一历史典故刻画出“英雄”与“爱情”两个主题形象，作品讲述了楚王项羽在多年征战中，爱姬虞美人始终相随左右，从一而终。作品通过描写征战场面的激烈、霸王别姬的沉痛与乌江自刎的壮怀，赞颂中华民族古往今来的英勇与执着，以及忠贞不渝的理想和信念。大提琴象征楚王项羽临死不屈的英雄气概，而二胡象征他的爱姬忠贞不渝从一而终的爱情。

Ode to King of Western Chu (Erhu and Cello)
Li Bo Chan based his composition on the historical, heart-wrenching Chinese story ‘Farewell My Concubine’; portraying "Heroism and Love". The King of Chu, Xiang Yu, fought many years during the Chu-Han warlords’ struggle for domination. His beloved concubine was always by his side even in difficult and dangerous times. This composition depicts the heroism of Xiang Yu in the fierce battle scenes, the love between him and his concubine, and the pain of farewell to his concubine before killing himself. The work celebrates and praises the Chu people for their loyalty and courage since the dawn of time; and their unfailing commitment to love. The cello symbolizes the heroism of King of Chu, Xiang Yu, and the erhu symbolizes his beloved concubine and her unswerving love.
