Kimberly sprinted across the trackfield, her legs burning from the effort, but she pushed through. The wind whipped past her, but her mind wasn’t here. It was on the screen back home, where she had a single focus: achieving Master Rank in Street Fighter 6.

The savory scent of spiced chicken from the nearby halal cart teased her senses, reminding her of the shift she had ahead. But right now, it was just her and the track. She wiped her brow, her mind racing faster than her legs as she mentally replayed the last set she lost to that damn Ken. She had watched the replay a dozen times, her thumb hovering over the ‘rematch’ button in frustration. Every frame, every punish—she’d get it right next time.

Kimberly pushed harder, her feet pounding the ground in sync with the rhythm of battle. She imagined herself dashing, weaving, pulling off precise moves in-game. This run wasn’t just about fitness—it was training. If she could push through the pain here, she could push through the pressure of climbing the ranks later.
