My first experience in the Casamance region was in the www.sarsarale.com Medicinal Garden project, called 'Sarsarale', in Kafountine.

I spent about a week at this site, learning about medicinal plants while being part of the daily operation in the Sarsarale project garden. The gardener, Alex, was very kind and made me feel at home during the days I worked and learned with him.
