Dr Ravi Dabir was born into a family of devotees. His family has been coming to Bhagawan since 1948. As per Swami's guidance, he finished his course in dentistry from the medical college at Manipal in 1973. He then moved to the United States of America and pursued post-graduation in Paediatric Dentistry from Temple University, Philadelphia. Thereafter he started his own practice in the field of dentistry and was based in Syracuse, New York. On retirement from his profession in August 2015, he relocated to Prasanthi Nilayam. He then began volunteering at the dental department at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital at Prasanthi Nilayam where he continues to serve to date. From 2016 to 2018, he was the head of the department. Presently, he is a Senior Dental Consultant at the hospital.
