A football stadium is going to be constructed at Ziro. The proposed site is the present Subansiri Stadium where the name "Arunachal Pradesh" was given during the inauguration of the NEFA as a union territory on 20th January, 1972 by the then Prime Minister of India, Smti Indira Gandhi. In view of this, Tage Taki, MLA, Ziro proposed that the Subansiri Stadium be planned as a multipurpose stadium and that the football stadium be shifted to a more suitable site. Not many agreed to his proposal. This video clip shows the typical view of most of the panchayat leaders and other prominent persons of Ziro.
