The greatest adventure of our lifetime (so far).
During the coldest season in the Everest region in 30 years !!

An expedition to Mera Peak with an predicted top at 6475. Sleeping at High Camp at 5800 in an expedition tent... With cold temperatures and high winds. A true adventure. The route to Mera Peak is not your average route, it takes some effort to complete te first stages where 'Nepali Flat' is no longer the standard. Steep up's and down's take you gradually up the mountains. The scenery is mesmerizing as spring is in full bloom. Along the way you meet your travel companions who all have the same goal. Summit. All on a slightly different itinerary. Mountain forecast is our go-to website for the latest info. Weather in the mountains can be treacherous. Choosing the right window is a kind of a gamble, and we had some luck hanging around at about 6200 meters...

We really enjoyed our trekking, goings high and basic with some really good sleeping comfort.
