This video is a step by step guide on how to find the Desolate Dive spell as well as the nailsmith to upgrade your weapon. Throughout the video I stop to show you where you need to go on the map.

This is a spell and not an ability because it costs soul or power to be able to use this spell. All of the abilities like Mantis claw and Dash do not require soul. We are getting the desolate dive in order to get the crystal heart without the lantern which costs 1,800 geo.

Note that in order to get this upgrade you will need a few things:
1. Defeat the False Knight
2. Have the Dash ability:    • Hollow Knight- How to Find the Dash A...  
3. Have the Mantis Claw ability:    • Hollow Knight- How to Find Wall Jump ...  

We will start from Dirtmouth to make things easy. If you watched the Mantis Claw video the beginning of this video will be very similar.

At the end of this video you will need to beat the Soul Master in the City of Tears in order to received the Desolate Dive Spell.
