I’m this video, I will go through the process of removing a builder's grade mirror and installing backing boards (support wood) for two heavy replacement mirrors. Hanging heavy mirrors directly to drywall is a big mistake. Although this will require drywall repair, you will know how to install heavy mirrors or anything else on drywall. This is also useful for artwork or anything that needs to be secured to the wall without falling off such as towel bars and toilet paper holders. Anchors have their uses but when it comes to longevity, installing backing boards offers a more permanent solution.

As always, thanks for watching!
