This video is a compilation of the Motorail in Slovenia which is a service that allows you to drive your car onto the train and then the train takes you through a tunnel under the Julian Alps to save you the effort of driving on the curvy and winding roads across the mountains. This motorail (car train) service runs between Bohinjska Bistrica and Most na Soci stations in Slovenia. It is part of the Bohinj Railway. It passes through the 6.3 km long Bohinj Tunnel under the Julian Alps and then descends a long way in a valley which provides lovely views as it winds its way down the mountain. It is a non-electrified single line and thus the train is hauled by a diesel locomotive. The passengers have to sit in the car only and are not allowed to get out of the vehicle. After parking the car on the train, the driver has to keep it in 1st gear and keep the handbrake engaged, since the car isn't tied down to the train.

The video has a mixture of photos and videos that I have taken during my trip on this train. It was a totally different and wonderful experience.
