Computer Architecture delves into the hardware components of a computer, their organization, and the overall system's architecture, elucidating how these components operate and interconnect. The cornerstone of a computer's functionality lies in the execution of a limited set of hardwired instructions, collectively forming its instruction set.Our project consists of a Basic Computer Design, featuring a size of 8K*16, a 12-bit address, 3-bit opcode, and 1-bit addressing modes.(direct and indirect addressing). This system boasts 16-bit registers, a 16-bit common bus system, 12-bit address lines, and incorporates 7 Memory Reference Instructions, 12 Register Reference Instructions, and 6 Input and Output Instructions.
In the realm of computer design, the focus lies on selecting appropriate hardware components and determining their interconnections. This video provides a comprehensive overview of the basic computer's individual components, such as registers and flip-flops, elucidating their basic design and operational functions.
