It only took three attempts to get to Tarpaulin Cove in our catboat Simba. Winds, currents and fog have all conspired to keep us away from the cove, a beautiful place located on Naushon Island just off of Woods Hole in Falmouth MA. Unlike descriptions we have read in sailing books or heard in stories, Tarpaulin Cove is a busy place. Apparently lots of folks look for serenity here. Still beautiful to visit, throw out an anchor, eat lunch and with water at 72 degrees....Swim!
