While exiting on my drive to Houston Fire Station 69 on the west side, I was nearing the station when they got called to a reported "apartment on fire" up the frontage road from station 69. Them being on the southbound direction with no access backwards to the apartment, they had to turn around at Briar Forest Drive go up, and turn around again at the Buffalo Bayou turn around to enter. Here is the responding apparatus and chiefs to the address. I had gotten good timing as they tones dropped as I was about to pass the apartment. I just pulled over into a parking area and got first due, to the last in truck as it got tapped out for Engine 69, and Tower 69 only. Engine 49 and Safety 57 (Reserve Chief 8) can be seen continuing onward after arriving. This is due to a second fire reported down the road more. This was shortly after a brief thunderstorm which may have caused some lightning related fire calls in a short time span.
