The National Border Patrol Council announced its support for former US president Donald Trump at his campaign event in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Mr Trump on Sunday local time invited the president of the National Border Patrol Council Paul Perez to the stage to speak.

"If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell," Mr Perez said.

Mr Prez later in his speech claimed "only" Mr Trump could fix the situation at the border.

"On behalf of the 16,000 men and women represented by the National Border Patrol Council, we strongly support and endorse Donald J Trump for President of the United States," he said.
