Welcome! Got some minnows and headed to the dock. Armed with a number 6 gold Aberdeen hook, a number 3 split shot, and small minnows. Rods are Lew's Lite Speed 5.5 Ultra Light. 15lb Beyond Braid tied to an 8 pound Seagaur leader using a double universal knot. Started getting bites right away looking for those crappie slabs, but found the other slabs which turned into a good time. Had to drop the bait fast to get past the smaller fish, near the bottom were 7" bluegill and sunfish in about 40 foot of water. Tried a jig for a while, but they just kept pulling the tail. Then I downsized and still couldn't hook one. Tried outside to see if bigger fish were out there, and seemed like they were. New friend Willie was leaving and gave me the rest of the nightcrawlers. The rain and wind started coming in, so I finished the trip inside using worms. Not sure what to think, maybe run a jig all day until I get a big hit. Anyways, great day of catching, they fight way harder than crappie, haha. Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
