The Blood Angels are one of the founding Space Marine Chapters of the Imperium of Man. They are known for their martial prowess, nobility, and an inherent flaw in their gene-seed that brings forth a savage, bloodthirsty nature known as the Red Thirst.

Originating from the lineage of the Primarch Sanguinius, who was known for his angelic appearance and immense combat prowess, the Blood Angels possess a deep connection to their progenitor. They hail from the planet Baal, which has a harsh environment and breeds a particularly resilient type of warrior.

Despite their nobility, the Blood Angels face a dark curse known as the Red Thirst. This genetic flaw causes them to succumb to uncontrollable bloodlust in the heat of battle, endangering both friend and foe. To counteract this, the Chapter employs a highly disciplined system of self-control and ritualized combat.

Despite these challenges, the Blood Angels remain steadfast defenders of the Imperium, often fighting in some of the most brutal and desperate conflicts. Their history is a testament to their resilience and unwavering commitment to the Emperor's cause, even in the face of their own inner demons.
