Filming Locations Identified and Revealed by Jim Benson, co-author (with Scott Skelton) of the upcoming book, The Ultimate Columbo:(www.UltimateColumboBook.Com), includes the following:

The Biltmore Hotel, The Long Beach Pike Amusement Park, Sinbad's Restaurant, The Santa Monica Pier, Ventura Boulevard, The Wells Fargo Bank Building, The Southern California Edison Building, The Bank of California, Tujunga Avenue, The Enchanted Hill, Travel Town Museum, and The Mobil Gas Station.

"Identity Crisis" aired on November 2nd, 1975. Starring Peter Falk, Patrick McGoohan (in his second Columbo appearance), Leslie Nielsen, Bruce Kirby, and Otis Young.

Also the debut of Patrick McGoohan as a director for Columbo, "Identity Crisis" tells the story of Nelson Brenner (McGoohan) a corrupt, double-dealing CIA agent (McGoohan), who murders a fellow agent (Leslie Nielsen) who suspects Brenner is a double agent involved in money laundering.

As director and partial writer, McGoohan crafts a complex story covering a vast geographic territory: Santa Monica to Long Beach, Burbank to Beverly Hills.

Except for three minor scenes, "Identity Crisis" was shot entirely on location. A rarity, especially for 1970s Universal TV productions.
