Whether you are Asian or not, this recipe will definitely makes you feel at home. It is also a great choice to serve to guests as it is very fresh and light, you can cooked several side dishes along with this steamed fish and you will felt light even after the full meal. This will become your staple fish recipe from now on.

here is the recipe ;

Fish (can use Red Snapper/ Grouper or Pompano)
1 inch Ginger grated or julienned
1 Sliced Spring Onion
1 tbps Fermented Black beans (optional)
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tsp Rice Wine
Parsley sprigs
1 tsp Sesame oil (optional)
Sea Salt
If you want your steamed fish spicy can add chilli

METHOD

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Clean the fish properly (remove scales, guts, gills, etc.) rub with salt

2 Prepare your steamer or pot put enough water for steaming. Wait for the water to boil. For the steam oven preheat before preparing the fish.

3 Lay the fish on a steaming plate put the ginger, spring onion, parsley/coriander, black beans and drizzle rice wine, soy sauce, sesame oil on top of the fish.

4 Place the fish inside the steamer. Steam about 10-20 mins it depends on the size of the fish

5 As soon as the fish is done steaming, remove it from the steamer. Serve it immediately with rice! Enjoy :)

*You can discard the fish water, then pour hot oil over the steamed fish. ( i think most Chinese do this way)
