In a little less than three months, the citizens of the United States will vote to elect a new president. At the moment, the top contenders are Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, with Robert F. Kennedy a distant third. Some have looked skeptically at the last presidential election and claimed that some shenanigans were involved. Whether that is true or not, there are plenty of opinions about it and people are concerned as to whether their vote will actually count this time. Another thing I have noticed is that the news (conservative or liberal) is making a big deal about this presidential election. Listen to them for very long and you will begin to think that voting for the next president is the answer to all of our problems. But is that true? Even if we could bring back the best president from the past or elect an honest Christian leader, there is no guarantee that this would solve our country. Why is that? The current problems in our country are not problems that can ultimately be addressed by the government.

The first problem is that our country (and world) is full of sinful people who do not want to repent of their sins, trust in Jesus, and allow God to change their lives. They are willing to rebel against God because they find enjoyment in the things that He calls sin. And when a nation turns away from the Lord, there will be big problems that must be addressed.
