Over 200 Farmers in Kilifi County are set to benefit from a partnership between AFC and UN Women Kenya. The two organizations have partnered to build capacity and to enhance Kilifi’s farmers performance with a view to linking them to markets as well as financial services.

The program, which was launched on 24th March, 2019 in Busia County where over 250 farmers were trained aims to link more women to financial services through AFC’s Women Affirmative Access Window (WAAW), an innovative initiative to reach out to women through training and information sharing to bridge the gap of financial exclusion. The program trains farmers on financial literacy, farming as a business, credit management and marketing as well as gender mainstreaming and life skills farmers on better farming methods to increase their productivity and profitability.
