There are many more powerful devices than the Family Pocket FC3000 V2 available these days but this one has a loyal following and I believe its V1 was around before PowKiddy and Anbernic handhelds even existed.

This device has the option to use a BL5C (Nokia style) battery or 3 AAAs. It also has a proprietary cartridge that can be inserted, which hides the emulators and offers 143 homebrew games. A strange but interesting feature.

There are a few custom firmware options as well, but I have yet to research it thoroughly.

The stock firmware plays Arcade/NeoGeo/SMS/MD/SFC/FC/GB/GBC, etc.

You can easily find this device on AliExpress but I’d suggest waiting for a sale if it’s back to regular price because there are so many better options out there:
