Hey Fig Fam,

It is a beautiful time of year where the summer heat has burned off a little bit and the early scents of fall are making their way into the garden. However we are smack dab right in the middle of fig season and its one of the best times of year.

Also during this time of year it a great time to think about pruning back your trees and propagate your figs. Fig tree propagate well in the warmth and if they propagate really well with the method of Ground Layering, originally known as "Layering." This a common practice when you bury a branch and support the end back up towards the sun.

The branch that is buried will begin to put out roots and become it's own tree while still being supported by the mother tree! To find out how this works listen up and tune in.

Let me know if you have any questions and let me know what has worked for you in the past. It a simple way to grow more figs with those low branches!!!
