Kayaking at Moss Landing, a couple of humpback whales surfaced directly next to me, one lunge feeding and one rolling on it's side nearly tipping my kayak over. Between the anchovies scattering and the whale swamping my kayak, I realized when I got back to the dock that there were 2 anchovies swimming around in the pool of water swamped into my kayak.
