boebeck's 'lucky' marks a departure from the traditional singer-songwriter style of their debut album and encapsulates the development the band has undergone over their first year together. The bittersweet title track features simple lyrics about emotional distress and disappointment and circular, guitar-driven harmonies which complement the narrative of the song. Its preface, 'intro (when you enter)' provides a detailed story and serves as a more self-aware accompaniment to 'lucky' with a simple piano melody and atmospheric sounds which help the song fade into the more uptempo second track. With 'lucky', boebeck becomes a true representative of a new alternative indie wave in Central Europe.

boebeck is an alternative indie band from Budapest, Hungary. The four members of the band aim to present something authentic and universal: debating questions of identity, belonging, self-doubt, as well as relating to others are the most important elements both in their lyrics and music. Originally a solo act, boebeck has evolved into more than a live band, each of the four members giving something unique to the project. Today, boebeck represents a new alternative indie wave in Central Europe.
