100%மொறு மொறு ஒமப் பொடி/Omapodi / Plain Sev /Evening Snacks
Omapodi is made with kadalai mavu (Gram flour/ besan), rice flour and omam (Ajwain/ caraway seeds) as main ingredients.
In this video we will see how to make Omapodi recipe in Tamil. This Omapodi / Besan Sev is made Chickpea flour or kadalai maavu and is seasoned with Omam (Ajwain). The amount of oil in omapodi is reduced by using a high temperature oil for frying. This omapodi is a very versatile snack and is used in many chat preparations. I have added a small quantity of rice flour to add crispiness to our snack.

Oma podi is basically a south Indian snack, prepared with kadalai mavu, (gram flour /besan) and omam (ajwain). Can be had as snack as such or be a star ingredient in mixture and chaat. Very similar to plain sev, so I use this for my chaat recipes too.
