🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
Certain parts of Lisbon lately got... Dangerous. Today you will discover their names, but more than that, at the end of this episode, we will expose the shocking account of someone raised in one of these areas of Lisbon. In less than 6 minutes we will tell you the curious story behind a country that is at the same time considered one of the 7a most peaceful in the world but also has the 4th highest rate of robberies in Europe! Weird, right? When we see data like homicide rates and kidnappings, Portugal indeed looks tremendously safe But the same cannot be said for other types of crime. And there is something even more curious about Portugal Let's look again at this map. This is the robbery rate per country in Europe. Portugal is only behind Spain, Belgium, and England. One could see this map and think that all this thing about Portugal being safe is just a myth, but wait! Let's open this robbery rate by region... And here it is. In this map, we can see a very interesting phenomenon, similar to what I saw in countries like Brazil. Differently than the Netherlands or England, where high robbery rates are spread all over the country In Portugal, they are very concentrated.
