Welcome back!
In this video I'll be turning a commissioned wood bowl with a food safe finish and double dye the wood.
Not my color of choice but this was a commission for a friend of mine. His little girl had seen some of my work and wanted a bowl. So he asked if I could make her one that was pink and black as requested by her. I picked a blank of maple out of my stack that had some some figure to it, I'm currently running low on figured maple which is a bit of an issue. I used keda dye to dye it up and diluted the red best I could to get a pink color instead of red. Applied Generalfinishes wood bowl finish for a food safe gloss finish that will hold up to a child's usage. The figure in the wood wasn't the best for a dye up, but i'm sure she will be happy.
