The blast nozzle was also switched to the 2.0 mm size, having previously been using the 1.5 mm. After twiddling my fingers waiting patiently for enough steam to operate the steam blower I decided to make a more effective steam raising suction fan. It used to take 15 minutes from lighting the charcoal to enough steam to operate the blower with a 300mL boiler fill, now it's down to 7 minutes. The fan is holding up ok, three steam raisings so far.
