Hello Friends..

Today after visiting the Brihadeshwar Temple of Tanjavur and the Royal Palace we headed towards Rameshwaram which was around 250 kms from Thanjavur

As we had heavy breakfast and that to we had us a bit late than our normal timing we hadti skip the lunch and we decided to take a stopover only and only if we need to take a break for a sip of tea or coffee or for a bio break inbetween this journey
As our journey started around noon from Thanjavur we were now travelling through the very scenic coastal roads of this region which many times remedied me of Konkan region which is very similar to and other costal regions of India

Around 4.30/5.00 in the evening we decided to take a tea break and stopped at a small town which had a very good cake shop or a bakery type of store and the served very beautiful local coffee alongwith this we also had the local cake which was really very delicious,and due to that wonderful cake we couldn't stop ourselves from having a
more cups of coffee
After enjoying this treat we headed towards Rameshwaram, and after traveling for about an hour we reached the junction where we take a left turn off the highway towards Rameshwaram
On this road we again had to stop on one of the railway crossing as the train was about to cross
After a couple of minutes waiting the train crossed and the gates we open , by this time it had started to get dark as the sun was setting for the day and by the time we reached Rameshwaram it was completely dark
Our next mission was to find for a good Accommodation near the temple alongwith a decent parking space,but as this is a island town and it's more crowded near the temple area we did not find a good hotel as per our requirement especially the parking space was a big issue
So we decided to look for properties away from the temple and after searching for some time we got a decent hotel and it has a parking space
We got ourselves checked in and then after getting fresh we again headed towards the temple as we were told that on vam find decent vegetarian food near the temple especially food that we normally prefer to have for lunch or dinner as in this part of the world idli dosa is served as dinner and we normally have these dishes only for breakfast
As we searched along the temple area we found a hotel serving Rajasthani cousine which was reasonably priced and was nice also
After having our dinner we went towards the temple to enquire about the darshan process for tomorrow
But as it was already 10.30 pm we didn't get anyone who could guide us about this process so we headed ttor hotel and rested for the night

Friends next morning around 3.30/4.00 am in the morning we got up and prepared ourselves for the Devine Darshan of Lord Ramnath Swami as the Temple opens its doors for devotees who want to avil darshan of the shivlaingam that is kept only for a few hours in the morning and after that the main shivlaingam is then kept away and the second shivalingam is opened for darshan

Friends we had the had a very beautiful experience to visit this temple and take the blessings of lord Shiva and frin there we headed towards Dhanushkodi to watch the Beautiful Sunrise that takes place from the sea and it raises above the sea
Dhanushkodhi is a Land end on the top of India that's about 27 kilometres away from Rameshwaram Temple
This drive is also a very beautiful experience as this is the only road that connects to rameshwaram and dhanushkodi
