My family loves fish dishes. And when I want to quickly cook delicious fish, I bake it in the oven with salt. This recipe can be used to bake any fish, but my favorite is to bake fatty sea fish with salt. I baked mackerel on a bed of salt, it turned out very tasty. Whole mackerel baked in the oven is juicy, tender with a crispy skin, although of course we don’t eat the skin. But such a skin can be easily removed from the fish. The recipe for fish baked in the oven with salt is very simple; mackerel cooks quickly and looks delicious! I left a list of products that I used to cook salted fish in the oven below. Although all you need for this recipe is fish, 1 kg of coarse salt, vegetable oil, lemon juice to drown out the smell of fish, salt and your favorite fish spices to taste. I didn’t add any spices since we ate the mackerel with my favorite currant sauce. I’ll leave a link to the currant sauce recipe below.

Thanks to salt, a special microclimate is created in the oven and fish cooked with salt tastes like fish cooked on the grill. But this recipe is simpler and even a person who has never cooked anything before can cook mackerel with salt. This fish dish is perfect for dinner or lunch. Ingredients:
- 2 mackerel, you can use any fish you like
- 1 kg (abt 2 lb+1/4 lb) coarse salt
- 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil, you can use any vegetable oil to taste
- Juice of half a small lemon, about 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Currant sauce to taste

Bake in a preheated oven at t=180°C (356 °F) in top/bottom mode for about 35 minutes depending on your oven. And another 5 minutes after lubricating with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice
