Andrew Ferguson (c. 1699-1787), son of Rev. Andrew Ferguson of Burt House (1655-1725) - Azure a buckle argent between three boars’ heads couped or. Crest—A thistle proper with a bee a lighting thereon or. Motto: Dulcius ex asperis.

2) Ferguson of Burt House, co. Donegal, Ireland - Andrew Ferguson Esq. of Burt House, had nephew John Magennis Esq, who assumed his surname by royal license in 1843, becoming John Ferguson Esq. - Azure a buckle or, between three boars’ heads erased argent. Crest: On a thistle proper a bee or, winged azure. Motto: Dulcius ex asperis.
