Trained confectioner and award-winning German master chocolatier Kevin Kugel takes this literally: from the cocoa bean to the finished bar, everything is homemade in Sindelfingen. The beans come from Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

The special thing is that each one ends up being a different chocolate, and chocolates unique anyway. The criteria are stricter than Fairtrade and from climate, sustainable organic cultivation and fermentation in the country of origin - everything has a decisive influence on the subsequent taste.

Every single step in the manufacturing process from roasting, grinding and conching, is an art in itself. When a bean is processed to the finished bar in one place, this is known in specialist circles as bean to bar.
