Mixing mediums is a great way to push yourself artistically. Experiment with mixing watercolor and various types of colored pencils and create a reference sheet to help the process.

I'll be using Posca Pencil, Stabilo CarbOthello, and Staedtler Karat Aquarell colored pencils. We'll see how they do or don't combine with watercolors, and find out what works for blending or opaque finishing details. After creating the reference sheet, I'll show you an example of how I combine these with watercolors to create a quick mixed media illustration.
