#efficiency and #effectiveness, though related, focus on different aspects of performance. Efficiency refers to doing things in the best possible manner, minimizing the use of resources such as time, effort, and materials. It emphasizes optimizing processes and achieving maximum output with the least waste. On the other hand, effectiveness is about achieving the desired goal or outcome, regardless of how many resources are used. It focuses on the end result, ensuring that the objective is met successfully. While efficiency measures how well resources are utilized, effectiveness measures the degree of goal attainment. For instance, a company may be efficient by producing a large quantity of products with minimal cost, but it may only be effective if those products meet customer expectations and fulfill their purpose, even if it requires more resources. Thus, efficiency is about doing things right, while effectiveness is about doing the right things.
