I love quick woodworking DIY projects because most of us don’t have a ton of time to spend in the workshop. This project can be built in one day and best of all it uses terrible garbage wood that you can probably find in a firewood pile! Basically you need any time of terrible, garbage looking wood you can get, but make sure it's dry and not rotten. I used some offcuts from when I was cutting a tree with a chainsaw. It's a multipurpose display stand that anyone can find a use for. It would look great as a center piece on a table, with some food on it, or sitting on a kitchen counter. I also think it’s a great DIY woodworking gift. The display stand is collapsible so you can make it for someone and they can easily store it away when they don’t need to use it. This is an awesome DIY gift project that can be used for several purposes, so your friends and family are going to think you are a pro woodworker when it really took you about a day to make.
