Today we head out to do some Fall Hybrid fishing on Skiatook Lake Oklahoma. The original plan was to hit the water early and look for the fall crappie bite. We did fish some submerged trees and do some scouting. We didn't find the fish we were searching for. When we tried to make a run across the lake we were having engine problems. If you have an Optimax you may be familiar with the low oil tank alarm. Well, this trip was my turn to experience it. Although my oil tank is full the sensor says it's not. This still put the outboard in protection mode and will not exceed 1800RPM. Instead, we found a point and found a nice school of hybrids on it. Man did we have fun. The lesson of the day is don't let issues ruin your day of fishing. Thanks for watching!
