What I have to say about the 1998 Explorer: The Explorer used to be the ultimate family car back in the late 90's and early 00's right beside the midsize sedans the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. With about 400,000 being sold every year up until 2002 it had alot going for it. Why was it such a good seller? Well it was because it had great rugged looks and it's versatile interior and room for a family made it such a good seller. The ergonomics was really good too and the seats were nice and plush and the Explorer also had plenty of power on tap. There is also many different trim levels for any lifestyle ranging from the basic XL to a very luxurious Limited. All in all this sport-ute was one of the best SUVS ever made
