Hello everyone, Abhijit here, 4th Year RAWE student from College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal.


So it's our 2nd day at Manipur Milk Producers' Co-operative Union Ltd, Porompat, Imphal. Today in this video you will see Ghee making process and the mechine used here is called Ghee Vat mechine.

Steps:-
1. For preparing ghee in this ghee vat mechine we can use upto 120kg of cream.
2. Heating by steam at temp of 100° or above n boil the cream for 3 hrs.
3. After 3 hrs of boiling the colour will change to golden and granulation will occur.
4. Now separate the ghee & granules.
5. After that let it cool completely and keep the ghee in 5° temp. We can keep this ghee upto 12 months at 5° temp.
6. If we keep it in lower temp, shelf life will be longer but if we keep it in higher temp, shelf life will be lesser.
7. We can make sweets using the leftover.
