Nicknamed the Bermuda Triangle of Iran, according to Persian folklore, there are malevolent spirits and demons that exist at the heart of Iran’s Dasht-e Kavir (دشت كوير) desert, in an area known as The Rig-e Jinn (ریگ جن) otherwise known as the Dune of the Djinn.
In 1940 did Russian explorers encounter one of these creatures, and how does it connect to the ancient lore surrounding Prophet Solomon, Alexander the Great, flying carpets and 1001 Arabian Nights?
